MP for pen

Do I need to mass production for pen making?
I have plan to give some for present.
But I'm worry about if I have much enough time to finish!
Anyway I'll keep making till midnight!

Pen blank

I got several pen blanks.
Woods, acrylic and cob of the corn.
I have many ideas, but there is not enough time.
I really think time is money, no I can't buy money, too expensive.....

Pen turning

Recently I'm trying European pen turning.
It is fun but I need more technic for detail.
Especially I need to care connection area between blank and top or bottom of pen.
I tried bamboo blank first time, I like bamboo style!

Corn cob

It's corn cob.
I tried to make pen with it at first time.
It was very easy to turn, but very brittle similar to cork.
It was for our friend's birth present.

  

Electrical work?

I tried to work electrical project!?
I made electric board pen from kit.
I presented it to my friends!

Lathe drive belt

Finally I got the new drive belt for my wood lathe.

I was looking for it about one month.

First of all I went to Wood craft shop, but there were no belts for my lathe.

And at that time, I was suggested finding it at vacuum shop by assistant.

Today I had a time to see some vacuum shop, but I could not find any similar one.

So I went to Wood craft shop again.

Today the man who was working there recommended me to see KC tool supply.

And he explained me the location of that shop.

Almost I could understand but his last sentence.

He told me the shop was behind the "UFO".

I asked him what is the "UFO"

He said, you could see big truck and find store behind that truck.

Finally I recognized that was "U-Haul", then I got there and discover similar belt.

I need to learn English more and more! especially listening!

Actually that was for Delta planer belt and wider than my lathe.

But I decided to modify it.

It was easy to divide in half at center of the belt.

The half modified belt fit my lathe pulley!!

I was very happy, and will start new pen project very soon.

Letter Opener

Today I tyred letter opener.

It was easier than pen turning.

Because turned only one piece.

I want smaller tool rest.It was too long.

I made it more simply, but it was difficult for me.

It showed low skill of turning clearly.

Press fit to turned blank.

So I'm gonna try simple shape next project for skill upgrading training.

I like this pattern which was tired several woods.

Turning pencil

I made 3 pencils today.

The theme was Fall, but it became so cold recently.

In Japan, we ate sweet potato.

My son Haruki choose the color of sweet potato.

My daughter Minami requested several composite trees.

It looks like falling leaf.

I like seeing BSU college foot ball , it is just now on season.

So I took Broncos's color.

Which color do you like?

Pen turning

I got drill bit and center drilling vise.

I also new pen kit and letter opener kit.

I want to start new projects...

But next, I should organized my shop.

Maybe I do pen making...

Pen turning not wood acrylic

After a long interval, I made pen turning.

I tried ball point pen with cap 1st time.

I had some mistakes, but recovered it.(I believe!)

My wife's impression is good, she said grip is easy!

I gave her my first work.

I reflected my work ;

The root cause of fail, I did not think my work shop is organized well.
