Chilis

Relative now new restaurant was opened in our neighbor.

It was called "Chilis".

We found that restaurant when that was still under construction,we were interested in the monument of th hot pepper where is on the entrance.

We were expecting there were many hot spicy meal, it was Mexican and American normal restaurant.

We tried small plate which we can choose 3 kind meal from about 10 or 11 menus.

I and Ritsuko chose 2 another menu, but 1 is same.

We can enjoy 5 meals from several choice.

It was nice restaurant "Chilis"!

Vacant day

Today two little kids went to day care center and older kids joined church summer program.

I and Ritsuko went to Ahi sushi-bar in lunch time.

Ritsuko was first time to go there, she looked so happy!

And I went to neighbor home center Lowes to buy wood for small my project.

We had dinner at outside and tried to use new grill, for which we can bring camp site.

It was easy to use, I'll have plan for camping!

Hiroshima style Okonomi-yaki

Today Ritsuko tryed to make Hiroshima style Okonomi-yaki.

Okonomi-yaki looks like pancake with meat and vegetables.

Hiroshima style means add with fried noodle.

That was so nice!

Sakana

Today Haruki had Shorinji class after school.

He is looking forward to joining practice every week.

After that, we went to Japanese restaurant "Sakana".

That is very near location of his class but we have no chance to go.

Haruki and Minami had Kids box which there are several meal, Tempura, Yaki-tori, and Gyoza.

I had Sushi plate, and Ritsuko chose Sushi and Tempura combination.

Kanami and Otomi ate Yaki-udon and they were gave meal which they want to eat from other's dish.

It was nice dinner for us.

Tomorrow we'll have barbecue party in my home garden.

Cook Kokanee

Today Ritsuko cook Kokanee which was hooked by I and my friends last Sunday.

Ritsuko learned Brock's previous job with those.

First of all she cut fishes, next fried them and at last mixed them and vegetables, onion and paprika with sugared vinegar.

We call this "Nanban-zuke" in Japanese.

It was so tasty that I want to go fishing again any day now!

Kimuchi

My wife Ritsuko like cooking and especially challenging new menu.

Almost every time she make new item very good and we are looking forward to try new one.

Recently day she cooked great dish!

It was "Kimuchi", which is kind of Korean style pickle and they are very very hot and spicy.

She learned how to make it in Japan, her friend she used to live next side of us taught my wife.

But my wife did not have chance to make Kimuchi herself in Japan.

Someday we talk about "Kimuchi" which was made by her friend, we can not stop thinking it.

So, Ritsuko went to Korean food shop, and she ask store owner what kind of ingredient to need for making Kimuchi.

She got some seasoning from there.

Add these seasoning and mix with grate onion, garlic, ginger, apple and a lot of something...

Anyway she made "Kimuchi"

The taste was so great!

We can enjoy it for a while.

Restaurant@NY

I went to several restaurant at this time of business trip in NY.

The best 1 was Ippudo(Ramen).

2nd was So Kong Dong(Korean-Tofu Restaurant at Fort Lee)

3rd was Santouka(Ramen)

I had happy time to eat good foods at New York.

Portland trip 1

Haruki and Minami, there was no school day from 2nd of Oct to 3rd.
So we were suddenly planning to go to Portland for leisure(to eat Japanese food,Sushi!)
It was going to be bad weather condition as the forecast, but we were going to Sushi restaurant!
We could reach and get our Japanese favorite food "Sushi".
The taste was so good that the cost was also ....
Anyway we family were sutisfied with it.

Busy day!

Today we had a lot of schedule.
Morning;
We visited Farmers market in Boise down town.











Noon;
We took cherry in Emmet with 3 family groups.
We pick it about 20lbs, it was so sweet and cheep.
We had a lot of fun.











Lunch;
We had late lunch at 15 o'clock.
Just like pizza party.












After lunch;
I took my wife's parents to Shopping mole of Boise.
They bought some souvenir to Japan cousin and friends.
My kids were interested in new food.
It was an apple which was decorated withe chocolates.
They wanted and I bought it .











Dinner;
We had steak dinner.
Ribeye, it is most recommended steak!

Boise down town

Saturday morning our family was escorted farmer's market in Boise down town by Tommy's family.

There were a lot of people on the street and many stalls, I think it looks like festival.

We bought fresh vegetable and some crafts. Kids got balloon hat ,it looked nice their cloth.

After that we went Costco where is membership supermarket, we joined member off course.

Finally we ate lunch at Texas Roadhouse with Tommy's family.

That was nice and delicious, our family was very pleased.

Japanese organization event in Boise

Yesterday, We have an event of barbecue which is Japanese organization starting ceremony in Municipal Park.
We met several Japanese, who were not in my company.
It was very fun and nice.

I cooked Fried chicken with my favorite pan Dutch Oven.

My colleague Alex liked it and he ate four chicken!

I think I could do it well.

The park is nice place to our family.

After event we took a walk.
There are some ecosystem, fish, bird , insects and plant

Trip to San Jose & San Francisco 1

I went to San Jose and San Francisco May 24 to 26.

But,I had some trouble.
I missed my fright, on May 24 Friday night.

Although had checked in on time, there was trap? at the security check.
My bag had weapon! It is knife, which was my parent's present for me.

So, I couldn't through away,any way went to my car and put it immediately.
But..........,the gate was closed!

Change the ticket and my mood, next day May 25, I went to San Jose by air.

I met my friend Alex.

He had some trouble too, there are some trouble in his face...

Last night there was drinking party , probably it was fierce session.

Lunch was my favorite food, Ramen!

My choice was Shio! It was very nice.

Main event was watching Major league.

It was Oakland Athletics V.S. Boston Red Sox.

The BR starter was Beckett!

His ball was very fast,but A's won.

The watching baseball was fun to me.

Next time I want to go to Seattle and see Ichiro!
