Cub Scout 100th anniversary

Today there was Blue/Gold Banquet at den, it was Cub Scout 100th anniversary.

We brought dozen of cup cakes and Haruki brought his previous work he have made.

He did Indian teepee.

All of us got the Blue/Gold Banquet dinner at den, and wolf, Haruki group showed us their small performance . After that we also sing a song together.

He got 100th anniversary badge, and he'll get some ribbons for that one

We had a lot of fun in den meeting with all of our family.

Thanks Giving lunch and Chiro and Pac meeting

There were thanks giving lunch party in New horizon day care center today.

Kanami and Otomi were waiting their grand parents and us.

They made turkey mask.

But Otomi did not like it.

We had good lunch turkey, mush potato, ice cream and pies!

Today all of kids except Kento were chiropractic day.

All of them like Dr. Roy and they followed him without protest.

I'm just jealous of him!

And we introduce Kento to him, we had happy time.

After dinner, Haruki went to pack meeting.

He was flag conductor and had good job.

He got "Art" belt loop.

Haruki good job!

Kento with Brother and Sisters

Today it was cub scout activity day.
Haruki tried to make Indiana tepee with cloth and card board.
Then write some Indian character picture.
It looks cool, good job Haruki!


When Kento was crying in the bed of 2nd floor and I bring him to living room, all of kids gathered around him.
Kento was so small and so cute, his brother and sisters also!

Indian's vest

It was cub scout day today.

Haruki was looking forward to scout activity every week.

Today, Haruki tried to make Indian's vest with paper bag.

His vest is so nice and cool!

Next week he'll try to make Indian's hat.

Pack meeting

Today Haruki's Pack meeting.

Prior to the meeting, we had dinner at Texas Road house.

At first, we picked Kanami and Otomi up from New horizon day care center, then we went to the restaurant.

Haruki, Minami and Kanami chose their prefer menu and we also selected Prime rib and Fillet steaks.

All of us are loving this restaurant so we were so happy.

After that, we went to Cold stone ice cream, I got birthday ticket so we ate one and just free of charge.

When we arrived Church, the door was not opened yet.

Fortunately at that time, we can beautiful sunset color.

The activity of today looks like obstacle race.

All of kids tried before we were leaving.

And it was ice cream treat again!

But Otomi and Kanami ate well!

Really they loved ice cream.

Bobcat

It was pack meeting day today.

Haruki got Bobcat badge, which was kind of 1st step of scouts.

He got some skill in scout activity, after that he could have it.

And there were small ceremony in pack meeting.

Parents also got the reword from cub master.

Haruki gave the ping badge and attach it to his mother.

Both of them had a lot of smile, so it was happy time for us.

After meeting, it was dessert time, all of kids got ice cream!

Pet bottle rocket

Haruki learned pet bottle rocket in his cub scout.

And we had chance to go his ex-cub leader's home on last weekend and played with it again.

When he came back home, he want to play with himself, so he designed the equipment for rocket.

And I and Haruki went to Lowe's and buy pipes and joints. All of them were selected by Haruki.

After that, I cut the pipe by Harki's drawing.

Additionally we had to drink soda which was in big pet bottle.

Haruki taught Minami how to make rocket and Minami tried to make air plane shape rocket.

After drinking all of soda, We tried to fly it, but every time the joint between pet bottle and pipe was come off so we need more tune-up.

Anyway this is easy system but there were lot of fun!

Pack meeting

It was pack meeting day today.

We went church to attend that meeting.

Haruki was done for bicycle active so he got a reword which was loop belt and meeting reward.

After meeting finished, all kids got sweet cake which was made by dutch oven.

Next 29th and 30th, Haruki will go to day camp with scouts members.

He is looking forward to going to that camp.

ELL Party

There was ELL party at lunch time today.

That party was kind of potluck party, almost every kid's parent brought some food.
ELL class has a lot of kinds of race.
I could see several food on the table.

Haruki, Minami and I were enjoying various meal, but they wanted to go outside as quick as possible.

I could find the reason why, he wanted to get ice candy!

It was amazing, why that ice candy was sold in school??

After school Haruki had Cub scout meeting at neighbor church.
We attend that meeting first time and Haruki was introduced to all of scouts.

Next week, Haruki will study about bird in scout activity.

1st day of Cub Scout

Today Haruki started his Cub Scout life.

He was looking forward to joining that activity, so he seemed restless.

After school, he changed his wear to new uniform and went to den where is in church and he met the group members.

First of all Haruki was introduced all of them, and after that they tried to make kite by some paper crafting.

Finally he finished it and had kite flying in front of the church.

He want to paint that kite and I'll help him.

He got to likes Cub Scout activity at once.

Cub scout

Tomorrow is Haruki's birthday, he will be 8 years old.

Minami also will be 7 years old, actually they are same birthday.

Cub Scout can start from 8 years old.

So we decide to enroll Haruki to Cub Scout, and we hope he can learn several things and grow up with spirit of independence.

I took him to Scout shop and bought some goods for Cub Scout activity.

He is very happy and looking forward to enjoying new Scout life.
