3rd grade program!

Today, Haruki had a 3rd grade program.

He and his friends sing songs in front of many audience.

Haruki had good performance.

We had a lot of fun!

Kento was sleeping and no cry, we could enjoy without any concern.

Dance Party @ Ustick

Haruki and Minami's school had a dance party at night.

That was PTO event and there were some contests.

They singed up Hula-Hoop just only, not in dance.

But Haruki got 1st place, and Minami did 2nd place at that contests.

I don't know how they were good at Hula-Hoop.

Anyway young sisters also enjoy dancing at gymnasium.

We had a great time.

Lunch with Minami

Today we I and Ritsuko had a lunch with Minami at her school.

In this week, she had a poster session introduce herself in front of the class.

She could present her poster and talk about her to her class mates and teacher.

And we had the invitation of lunch that was the one prize for her from her teacher.

Ritsuko picked taco salad. Minami was also same one.

I got ham and cheese wrap.

We had lunch with Minami and her classmates.

It was good experience for us, Minami seemed happy!

Haruki also had lunch near the next table with his class mates.

You had great job!

Kento meets his doctor

We named new baby Kento and also put middle name, David.

It was first time for Kento to go to meet his new doctor.

He is taking care of all of our family, he's family doctor.

Kento looked very well now and he need to see doctor 2 weeks later again.

And we made appointment for seasonal flu shot for the other kids.

All of kids want to hold Kento.

After seeing doctor, it was meeting teacher day for Haruki and Minami.

I went to school and meet their teacher and they gave me this 1st quarter improvement.

They had good job and got many improvements even though study in English.

Minami's reading skill was so nice and exceed average in her class.

Teacher recognized she had good skill and she needed more courage for speaking in front of many people.

I hope she can speak in front of all class mates and volunteer in class room.

Come back to school again!

Today, Haruki and Minami went to school after one week.

They came back from H1N1 flu and well now.

They looked happy and I thought strongly there was nothing more valuable than good health.

Minami had valet class after school.

Haruki, Kanami and Otomi were in the home at that time.

And they were playing in the garage where there was no car and a lot of space when Minami was dancing.

Tomorrow my parents will arrive at Boise early evening.

That was for the first time in 1 and half year.

We are looking forward to their coming.

Kids can't wait and can't sleep today!?

School open house

It was school ope house day today.
At first the principal had small talk about school goal in this year and introduced each teacher.
Then each teacher had meeting with parents to explain the class goal and target.
Minami's teacher is same as Haruki was in 2nd grade.
Minami also knew her well, we were at ease.
Haruki's teacher was looks so kind and her explanation was also careful and I was happy.

Anyway Haruki and Minami started good school life again and I'm looking forward to their growing in their school life this year.

Minami's surprise bag

Minami brought back surprise bag from her class.

That was same rule which Haruki had last year.

Minami selected her album as a surprise.

And she was thinking the question about how to ask her class mate.

And she did it almost herself.

I think it was so great job, if it was same thing happen in last year, she could not do that.

I'm very happy to feel her great improvement in one year.

New school year!

It was school start day today.

Haruki and Minami met new teacher and new classmates.

They were looking forward to new year of school.

Minami was happy, because her teacher was same as haruki's last year teacher.

And luckily Minami and Haruki were same ELL teacher Ms. Moore who taught both of them last year.

When they got home, their first word was "It was fun!" with full smile.

I hope they can good school year again!

School is over

Today Haruki and Minami were last day of their school.

They finished their 2nd and 1st grade in U.S.A..

Last year they came from Japan, at that time both of them did not read and write at all.

Today they brought the report cards, prize and gifts from their teacher.

Each of them show excellent result.

I can understand their hard work through year.

And each teacher's comment also so great.

They were loved very much by their class and ELL teachers.

I and Ritsuko, we talk about their result and work, we are absolutely proud of them!

Great job Haruki and Minami!

Let's have a good summer vacation and keep studying hard together!

Wolf

Haruki and Minami, there school mascot is wolf.

Haruki tried to make wolf something mascot and paper work, he made that mascot of clay.

Also they have school shirts and they usually wear it on Friday, that is school spirit day.

ELL Party

There was ELL party at lunch time today.

That party was kind of potluck party, almost every kid's parent brought some food.
ELL class has a lot of kinds of race.
I could see several food on the table.

Haruki, Minami and I were enjoying various meal, but they wanted to go outside as quick as possible.

I could find the reason why, he wanted to get ice candy!

It was amazing, why that ice candy was sold in school??

After school Haruki had Cub scout meeting at neighbor church.
We attend that meeting first time and Haruki was introduced to all of scouts.

Next week, Haruki will study about bird in scout activity.

PE Certification

Haruki got PE certification from school.

That certification means Haruki achieve annual program in physical education.

Actually he learned several physical exercise this year.

He begun shorinji kempo at after school class.

He like shorinji.

I want to play with him catch and some ball game.

From now I trained him, especially playing with ball game.

Pack Pack?

Today Haruki brought some folding toy back from school.

It seemed same thing we used to made and play it with friends.

When we make it, at first we write down some directions and after that it was folded and hid, and write 2nd choice on the new surface which was folded and had inside secret sentence, at last write 3rd on the mouth.

But when we play with it we do the opposite way.

At first we take one of four.

In Us way, when I do green, partner will be opened and closed that mouth, "G-R-E-E-N", he wil be 5times open and close.

Next I get some number from inside and open and close again depend on number,after that take number again, at last open that paper and read the direction which is written opposite side of that number.

I'm not sure what Haruki does he call it ?

In Japan, I used to call it "Pack Pack"?
I believe there are many way to call it by region.

I'll ask him tomorrow!

Spring Commencement

Today we went to BSU Taco bell arena for commencement of Haruki's ELL teacher, Ms. Moore.

She graduate BSU master educational course!

Haruki was invited!

On the way to BSU, there were lot of car on that road, we nee much more time.

We saw ceremony from highest floor at Taco arena.

There were lot of people to congratulate graduate.

That was nice ceremony, and Haruki and Minami catch the call of Ms. Moore as a graduate.

After ceremony, we had flower for her so we were waiting outside.

We found her son, and we could meet and present it.

Congratulation Ms. Moore!

After that we walked around the campus.

Haruki want to attend BSU in his future.

I hope so!?

PTO carnival

Today Haruki and Minami's elementary school had a PTO carnival.

That festival was organized teacher, parents and volunteer.

We also donated some snacks and some goods for outdoor.

Those are packed altogether and are arranged as a bid.

Haruki and Minami had some games with their ELL teacher and, Haruki won the game and got a ticket for cake. Haruki could choose any cake made by volunteer parents.

I thought Haruki should choose Po Panda cake ,but he selected turtle green cake.

I don't know why, he might be impressed by green color?

Haruki, Minami and Kanami could enjoy small games, and with ground equipments.

After that we ate nice cake, and Otomi turned cakemonster!

Anyway we had happy time at their school.

We hope we can enjoy that carnival next year!
