Unique thing in U.S.

Today I went to my neighborhood super market.

I found something unique and maybe never seen in Japan.

It is the cow boy style ride-on machine!

Funny!

And I bought some stationery.

When I use mechanical pencil which was found from my desk, that pencil run out of lead and fill it, but did not work well. Because the lead size was not match to it.

Its size was 0.9mm, not 0.5mm which was used popularly in Japan.

I have never used over 0.5mm, only when I needed 0.3mm pencil at mechanical design drawing.

Anyway I got 0.9mm refill today.

Family health

Today I took Minami and Otomi to Family health. It is St. Lukes group hospital and there is neighborhood from my home.

Minami had still small fever, pink eyes and sore throat and she was absent from school today.

Otomi also had pink eyes and runny nose, but she looked fine and acted up at home very much!

Minami had ear infection Otomi had cold, after that Ritsuko went to pharmacy and pick up some medicine for them.

Kanami is still O.K. please keep your good health condition!

I hope both of thme became well as soon as possible.

Ski school day4

Today it was final day of ski school.

Unfortunately Minami caught a cold and she could not go skiing, I took Haruki only today.

There were lot of powder snow on the slope, so I and Haruki had super excellent skiing today!

Haruki reached level 3 or 4 in his skill.

I had small pain in my leg especially hamstring because of two straight days running.

Anyway today it was one of the best day of my visiting.

After that, Haruki and Minami got Pizza prize as a reading reward.

We had Pizza party in dinner, Minami was getting better her cold, and she was able to eat it.

Ski school day3

Today, I took my kids to Bogus for ski school with Po.

While their school, I and Po were enjoying, it was fine and the snow was still not so bad, just little more icy than last week.

Some trouble happened, my day bag was stolen by the chair!

Lift guy stopped and got back from him!

This was 3rd time of school, so they had improved their ski skill very much.

Ski coach also praised them, I became easy to go to slope with them.

After skiing, we had lunch on Po's trunk sheet!

Onigiri, rice bowl was very tasty especially at snow park.

Friend comes home

Today our friend Kara came to our home.

We showed her Japanese hinamatsuri doll.

That was first time to look directly for her, so she was excited.

She already know Japanese boy's festival, in Japan we have that May 5th with displaying carp at out side.

We bring carp display from Japan, and we will set up it under the Boise's sun!

Haruki's daily routine

Haruki loves air plane.

And he fold into paper airplane every mooring.

He started this daily routine from January 1st, almost everyday he did it.

And keep doing still now.There are about 100 paper airplane in the box.

When I was boy same as his age, I think I could not keep doing everyday, because grow tired.

He is great boy! I have to emulate him!?

Kids go Chiropractic

Today all of our Kids are going to Chiropractic, Roy's hospital.

They are always looking forward to going there and talking with Roy.

Otomi also lie down and stay meekly on the bed. But she is usually drooling on the floor.

Kanami's English skill, especially pronunciation is getting better and better now.

And she has good communication with her frinds at day care center.

She had Birthday party at center today, not for her but, she got some present from birthday kid. It is very interesting, common custom in U.S.?

So she is looking forwad to her birthday party at that center in June.

She want to present to her friends.

SSN

In U.S life, Social Security Number is very important number.But it is just only paper and looks so cheap.
If we have no number, we don't have bank account and credit card.
But my wife did not have yet.

Today I went to SSN office again.
Last June,almost 10 month ago I went to there with my wife to get her SSN number, but we were rejected.
Until now, some one was accepted and another one was also refused, so I already gave up to apply it.
But for final tax return (but not back to me actually...), try to do one more time today.

Tax management company prepared the document manual how to be approved.
That was good for them, so finally we will receive the number soon.
Anyway we are able to breathe again.

Fishing rod

Last Saturday I went to out door shop Sportsman.

I found the cheapest rod for kids, so I got it and another small one for not only kids use but also mine.

Next weekend I'll have two more ski school, but afternoon if I have available I wanna go fishing with kids to neighbor pond.

And that time when I bought the rods at shop, I also saw fly tying books and gears.

I'm very interested in fly tying, it looks artistic creation and my friend Lance is doing it and his works are very beautiful and good. In addition he got lot of fish with his self-made fly.

I hope that I got big fish with my fly someday!

Ski school day2

Today it was ski school 2nd day for Haruki and Minami.

It was colder than yesterday, but they were still with the motivation for skiing.

We arrive Bogus at 9 o'clock, so took the lift 2nd time prior to the class.

While there lesson I took lift several times, may be 7 times over, my hamstring began to cry, so I took a rest until there class was done.But after class they still wanted to ski so I went together just one time.

After that they came back to home, they started their homework and studied Japanese, especially "Kanji" for about two hours.

I allowed to play with Nintendo Wii because of finish studying so hard.

Otomi played peek-a-boo herself near side of her brother and sister was doing game.

She looked happy.

We had happy Sunday!

Busy Saturday

Today it was the ski school day for Haruki and Minami at Bogus.

Po joined our ski trip and he also drove his car to Bogus.

Few days ago we had some snow, so there was nice snow on the slope, awesome!

Haruki and Minami was separate class.

When they had class, we enjoyed skiing!

They were just second time to ski, but after lesson both of them could go up by lift and ski down by themselves. It was great progress only one hour!

They want to more skiing, so after lunch 2 more lift.

After that we went to BSU, to receive some paper from Japan consul general.

Today they came from Portland to organized special operation of them.

In dinner, we went to Texas road house with Po and his wife, that's a good steak house, reasonable and tasty, however almost every weekend there were lots of people, tonight also very crowded, we were waiting for about an hour!

Taste very good!

Anyway ski school will be continued

Haruki's Demonstration

Today there was Japan Festival at Idaho Power in Boise down town.
Haruki had a chance to perform his Shorinji-Kenpo demonstration with his pracitice group members.
He like Shorinji-Kenpo and also respect his teacher Mr. Yokoyama.

He had a lot of practice for about a month.
Today he also invite his friends and his teacher, and could do it very well in front of them.
Friends and teachers praised him after that he had a very happy smile.
We also had a happy time to see his performance and talk with his inviting guests.

Green Day

Today, Haruki and Minami went to school with green wear as for Grinch day.

Minami had special event "share day" today, so she need to introduce her favorite things.

She brought the picture of Hinamatsuri taken with dolls and cards from her friend and her aunt.

Aunt's card was very interesting, the shape become deformed stereoscopic model from flat card.

This card was made by her friends.

That was attached several colored cutting paper to beautiful base paper.

It is very beautiful and great job.

Tomorrow is crazy hair day, so they are looking forward to going to school with their crazy hair style, I also look forward to observe them.

Katsudon

Today's Lunch was Katsu-don in my home.

I like Katsu-don very much, which is one of the popular Japanese menu.

But Katsu-don need Ton-katsu, that is fried pork.

To make it,Ton-katsu is boiled with onion and egg by soy taste.

In my home, almost prior day of Katsu-don is Ton-katsu in dinner.

So I want to eat Katsu-don as much as possible, I controlled my appetite for Ton-katsu yesterday.

Anyway I was satisfied with today's lunch, Katsu-don.

Hinamatsuri

Today it is March 3rd, Hinamatsuri day so Ritsuko also had Hinamatsuri party at Tossy's home.

They had nice lunch, looks very nice on the other hand I had lunch-box which was made by Ritsuko of course it was nice too, in my desk after lunch time soccer.And that luch time we had hail and it hit all of players, but after that we could have clear sky and good game!

Today we family already had Hinamatsuri party so, we took only picture in front of the doll.

They had lots of smile and I could take good picture!
