Sunny Saturday

This morning I went to wood craft shop and got some materials for turning projects.

Mechanical pencil kit, Ikebana, cup, blank woods and pepper mill set.

After that I went to Lucky Peak to get Kokanee for 3 hours, but I did not have any result....

I saw a kind of raptor, he flew very sedately but could not take a picture, what a pity!

After lunch, I went to neighborhood pond for fishing again with Haruki and Minami.

Already an old couple was fishing and got small fish!

We tried, but nothing afresh, only water weed....But Haruki and Minami had lots of fan.

They want to their fish rod.

We had Hinamatsuri party at dinner with Temaki-sushi.

All kids love Temaki-sushi and enjoy it.

That item was purchased from Alaska by mail order.

Ritsuko also made special cake!

They ate it with big smile.

Kanami & Otomi

Every Friday (also Monday) it was home day for Otomi & Kanami.

So Ritsuko was very busy with them.

Today they went to doughnuts shop Krispy Kreme.

When the shop sign is turning on with light, guests can get doughnuts by free.

So they got 3 doughnuts, paper hat and coloring.

kanami and Otomi could color them well!

Antique shop & Chiropractic

Today Ritsuko went to antique shop in down town Boise.

She discovered very old register at some shop.

It was 120 years old, but it still work well, great!

After school Kids went to chiropractic, Mr. Roy's hospital.

All kids looks happy because his care was so nice!

They are looking forward to next schedule.

Stove for fishing

Some days ago, I got a single stove and percolator.

I tried with them for hot coffee break while fishing.

That taste was so good in cold situation.

Next time I'm gonna try to cook some hot food!

Season Pass

Last week, I had chance to get BOGUS season pass because they had limited bargain sale.

So I, Ritsuko and Po went to BOGUS basin office at downtown and got it.

That pass good for from this season through next season.

Recently it get warmer and warmer we might have small chance to go skiing this year.

But we going to try to go skiing in March!

Set up dolls

March 3rd is the Japanese Doll Festival, Hina Matsuri.

My wife had preparation to set up and display doll in the room.

In my wife's home, when she was young her parents prepare 7th-tiered Hina doll.

They might have very hard work!

Otomi try to tamper with them almost everyday....

I hope dolls will be not broken until she grow up and recognize them.

Car wash!

My car is very very dirty, so today we stopped at car wash stand on our way to supermarket.

The cost was cheap and we could several course from $4 to $8, and I chose $5.

First of all, check in with $5 to vending machine.

2nd, approach into washing machine like drive into the garage.

Final, exit from there with blow-dry.

Our kids said that it looked like an attraction in some amusement park.

Anyway our car better than this morning's.

But it's going to rain tomorrow??..

After that I got Pizza, and this dinner was Pizza and Tortellini.

9 by 9 times table

Finally Haruki and Minami memorize 9 by 9 times table today.

Haruki can recite it in 1 minute 30 seconds, Minami can do in 1 minute 40 seconds also.

They always requested Nintendo Wii as a reward, so they finally got it today!

I made promise to them that they can do after study and limited time, for now an hour.

They are enjoying game and look very happy!

Actually I also have lots of fun!

Super Student of the Week!

Today Haruki got a great award which is "Super Student of the Week" in his ELL class!

This award was given to the student who was doing homework well and studying hard.

Even though he could not read , write and speak English at first, he keep on learning English step by step. I think he is very serious student.

I am proud of his great efforts, and I'm looking forward to his progress in U.S. this year.

Music Program

Today there was Minami's music program at Ustick elementary school.

It was played by all of first grade students only and invited there family.

Minami went there with best dress.

Her performance is very good and we could enjoy it!

Ayatori-2

Finally Ritsuko get new knitting wool for Ayatori.

We had only one string till now, so they scrambled for it every time.

For now they can do Ayatori, cat's cradle each other.

Haruki read the book about cat's cradle well and he learned how to make several figures.

He can do over 10 styles!

Catch a cold?

Today I and Ritsuko had a sore throat.

We could catch a cold.

Trip to San Francisco was very tight schedule and after that we shifted from tense to relaxed, we might be careless ourself?

Today I tried American medicine which was recommended by Po.

<---Very very sweet! Cherry taste!

It was for kids but good for us, probably Japanese people does not tolerance to an American medicine which is stronger than Japanese one.

Anyway my sore throat has gone but new headache is coming now.....

Valentine day present

Today I was very tired and had a relaxed time all day.

The trip to San Francisco was pretty hard but it was a lot of fun.

After lunch, my wife gave Valentine's present to me and all kids!

I and Haruki got a nice model car and Minami and Kanami are Hannah Montana goods.

Otomi was pretty Pooh's toy.

Thank you Ritsuko, but I didn't prepared for her.

I'll make it up to you!

Fishing again

Today I went fishing to Lucky Peak again.

I prepared some Jigs and Rures this time.

The 1st fisher was Brock again!

And I brought my single stove by fuel and percolator for drinking hot coffee.

Today it was very cold and windy, so fishes were very slow.

<---I got pretty good size fish!

Finally I got 4 fishes, Tommy 2, Sho 3 Taka 3 and Brock was 14 !

Anyway we had happy fishing time again.

Next I hope I get a lot of and bigger fish!

San Francisco day 2

Today it was sunny and rain day, but we did not catch rain when we were out side, it was very lucky for us.

After breakfast in our room, we took around the hotel, union square and shopping.

After that we went to Pier39, and ate clam chowder as well-known.

Haruki and Minami ate very very well!

We enjoyed short trip of San Francisco very much.

Finally we came back to Boise.

Anyway we are happy to come back here safely!

San Francisco day 1

Today our family came to San Francisco for annual medical check.

I have some concern about trip by air, because youngest daughter Otomi is constantly on the move.

She did not sleep on the airplane despite we choose first flight, just as I thought.

Anyway we could arrive San Francisco safely, and took medical check on schedule.

After that we ate "Ramen" finally!

That was so great, we are all satisfied.

All kids went to not bed on the floor with "Futon".

That is "Zako-ne"

They are still waking, too much excited?

Haru & Mina Valentine party

Haruki and Minami had Valentine party at elementary school.

They and Ritsuko prepare a lot of snacks and message, I'm sorry I couldn't help.

Today they brought back many snacks and message cards.

I'm jealous, their school life looks very happy!

Valentine party

Kanami and Otomi had Valentine party at day care center today.

Ritsuko went to center and join with them.

The party was eat snack which was brought by each kids from home.

Kanami and Otomi looks very happy and Ritsuko also happy.

In U.S. Valentine is different from Japan, In Japan Valentine day that was the day women give chocolate to men, the reason why is might be sales strategy of some chocolate company!

Two girls are very happy to eat sweet snacks.

They had happy time in U.S. Valentine day!
