Day 6 Bend to Boise

Today is final day of our summer trip.

We went to "The Old Mill District" in Bend where was the big shopping mall.

We ate lunch there Flat bread pizza.

Haruki, Minami and Kanami made pizza themselves.

After lunch we had long drive from Bend to Boise.

We had just only one time rest at Ontario.

We took dinner china buffet at Fivemile and Fairview in Boise.

We had lot of fun for summer vacation trip.

Day 5 Newport to Bend

Today we went to Oregon aquarium at Newport.

It was famous for tunnel of aquarium.

Otomi loved jelly fish since she have seen "Ponyo"

There were lot of shark in tunnel aquarium and it looked like we were observed by fish.

Today's lunch we picked up Japanese restaurant along Oregon coast "Yuzen".

Tempura and Sushi was so nice, and Haruki and Minami were enjoying Ramen.

We were not common customer almost every guest were American.

After lunch we had 3 and half hour driving from Newport to Bend of central Oregon.

On the way to Bend it was beautiful scenic, there were lot of green in beautiful mountain and lake.

At dinner, we visited local brew beer restaurant, but there were so many people and we gave up there and took second candidate restaurant, it was so nice and taste great!

Tomorrow we will go back to Boise!

Day 4 Astoria to Newport in Oregon

This morning we had a good breakfast at Bed and breakfast our staying hotel.

We started to drive along Oregon coast from Astoria to Newport.

At first we played in Cannon beach it was famous for huge rock.

Before we arrived Newport, we stopped and had shopping in outlet mall at Lincoln.

Today we are staying Hallmark hotel by seaside in Newport.

We had dinner steak and seafood restaurant near the hotel.

Tomorrow, we will go to Oregon aquarium.

Day3 Seattle to Astoria

Today we went to the Museum of flight.

I and Haruki were looking forward to visiting there.

And we found the Blue Angels take off from there around lunch time.

There were lot of air plane and interesting thing, history of flight and so on.

We decided to have lunch at museum cafe at outside and we could see the departure of the Blue Angels! The jet sound was enough to be excited.

After that we started to Astoria where is located the north of Oregon coast.

It had almost 3 hours driving.

It was cloudy and pretty cold.

The hotel was cute and we saw warm hearted owner.

We had good dinner at seafood restaurant.

It was good day today too!

Trip to Seattle

I started my long vacation from today to 16th of August.

We decided to go to Seattle and Oregon coast for 6 days.

Today we started our trip to Seattle.

It had almost 7 hours drive, and struggle with my sleepiness.

Kids could enjoy watching DVDs and Ritsuko had relax time on her seat.

Seattle has a lot of green!

It looks like Japan, I loved it at once.

Summer camp@church

Haruki and Minami went to summer camp at neighbor church for this week.
They were enjoying several activity everyday.

And today it was festival of that camp at the church.

Unfortunately it was rain and they could not play at outside.
Otomi wanted to go outside but we played inside.

We tried cup cake walk; walk around on the number with music and when music was stopped facilitator read the number and the person who is on the number can get cup cake.
Haruki could get 1st, 2nd was Minami, 3rd was Otomi and finally Kanami also did.
Even though Otomi already got it, she wanted one more!


Anyway Haruki and Minami could enjoy the camp and Kanami and Otomi also had a good time at the final festival.

Summer vacation start!

Haruki and Minami are starting their summer vacation.

In the morning they studied their homework from school.

And Ritsuko taught them multiplication, 9 by 9 table that is popular in Japan.

After that, they prepared my sister's visiting, they cleaned up guest room and had bed making.

My sister will come tomorrow night from Japan, she will stay almost two weeks.

After noon they read some homework's book again for one hour.

After finished it, they started to prepare for swimming, brought the small pool from storage and pump it up and put in water.

Young sister came back home at early evening, they play with pool again.

Although Otomi like pool very much, whenever washing her hair she usually pretend to be crying.

Minami braided Kanami and Otomi's hair.

She did very good and Kanami and Otomi was so pleased.

Anyway Ritsuko's work will get heavier than annual school days.

I have to help her more and more!
