Rod for steelhead

Today I went to JOE'S that is my neighbor out door shop and it has going out of business sale.

It starts from 50 to 70% sale today, and the rest of open days are 10days.

I am wondering if I could purchase the rod for steel head or not.

I asked to assistant that which rod is the most recommendation for big steel head, the man who started to look around and check all of those rods, and finally he picked up one.

He had long time to talk about steel head fishing enthusiastically.

And also he chose reel for that rod. I took blue one just decision is only color.

Finally I bought both of them!

I hope I can catch the big fish next season!

Fishing Trip

We went to Stanley, Salmon river for fishing trip, I wanted to get especially big fish "Steel head"!

After working on Friday we had about 3 hour drive to salmon river at Stanley.

Day 1st.

We started fishing to there.

I saw some rise, but it was small and seemed rainbow.

After all no one got fish, after that Tommy cooked noodle and we ate outside with star light and LED light, it was very tasty.

We stayed at riverside motel, it had 2 bed in a room and we needed to decide who can use bed so we did rock-paper-scissors and Tommy lost, so sorry Tommy.

We could see great scenic mountain view from our room.

Day 2nd.

We started fishing almost 8:30.

I got some bite but it seemed small, might be small rainbow.

But even though small, I want to 1 fish.

We changed fishing place 4 times but I had never got.

Sho got 4 rainbow, at the last minute of finishing I also tried to got normal rainbow, but couldn't..

Drive our way home, I had struggle against my sleepiness but almost lost.

I tried to relieve Tommy of driving, but it was almost about 30minutes, too less short??

So sorry Tommy again.

We saw something black big animal at side of a road, it seemed bear or I had a dream in navigate seat?

Anyway I didn't get any fish but I had exciting trip.

Egg Hunt 2

Today it was cloudy day, but we went to Ann Morrison Park for hunting Easter Egg.

There were already lot of people in the park when we arrived.

The starting event was informed from 9 o'clock by host, but they mistook, truth was 10 o'clock.

So we took walk around and filled the time.

From 10, we could hunt Easter egg, at first, Otomi and Kanami ,second is Haruki and Minami did. They got many Eggs and candies. The center of eggs are almost small toys, sticker and candy.

After lunch, we went to JOE'S, outdoor shop, and took a look at Blackhawk helicopters which was invited by cub scouts event. We could ride and touch it. Finally all of kids sit cockpit in order.

Before sunset I, Haruki and Minami went to neighbor pond for fishing.

We brought each fishing rod and tried, but there was no fish...

Haruki and Minami wanted to come back again, so we'll try anytime soon.

Fishing

Today I went to Owyhee river with my friends.

We leave Brock's home at 7:30 am.

It was fine day, so Brock had some concern too much fine.

We got fishing license river side town, and there were pretty lot of people who wanted that licence.

We arrived today's destination at 10, and start fishing.

Brock's friend Phill got many fishes, Brock was few?, but I and Sho were no fish....

Around noon I and Sho took a lunch time, Cup Noodle!, but the other guys seemed no rest, what a tough men they were!

I forgot to bring chopstick, and we made it with knife and some branch.

Even though it was afternoon, almost every fishes were very slow and we couldn't look rise of fish.

Finally we burned out and finish it.

I was very tired and very sleep in the way to home.

When I had a chance to see container train, and it was so long and so many rail wagon that I tried to count those. But it was kind of count sheep and I could not count all of them. Zzzz...

Excuse me Sho!

Anyway I had no fish in Owyhee yet........

I hope I can get big fish next time!

Fishing rod

Last Saturday I went to out door shop Sportsman.

I found the cheapest rod for kids, so I got it and another small one for not only kids use but also mine.

Next weekend I'll have two more ski school, but afternoon if I have available I wanna go fishing with kids to neighbor pond.

And that time when I bought the rods at shop, I also saw fly tying books and gears.

I'm very interested in fly tying, it looks artistic creation and my friend Lance is doing it and his works are very beautiful and good. In addition he got lot of fish with his self-made fly.

I hope that I got big fish with my fly someday!

Sunny Saturday

This morning I went to wood craft shop and got some materials for turning projects.

Mechanical pencil kit, Ikebana, cup, blank woods and pepper mill set.

After that I went to Lucky Peak to get Kokanee for 3 hours, but I did not have any result....

I saw a kind of raptor, he flew very sedately but could not take a picture, what a pity!

After lunch, I went to neighborhood pond for fishing again with Haruki and Minami.

Already an old couple was fishing and got small fish!

We tried, but nothing afresh, only water weed....But Haruki and Minami had lots of fan.

They want to their fish rod.

We had Hinamatsuri party at dinner with Temaki-sushi.

All kids love Temaki-sushi and enjoy it.

That item was purchased from Alaska by mail order.

Ritsuko also made special cake!

They ate it with big smile.

Fishing again

Today I went fishing to Lucky Peak again.

I prepared some Jigs and Rures this time.

The 1st fisher was Brock again!

And I brought my single stove by fuel and percolator for drinking hot coffee.

Today it was very cold and windy, so fishes were very slow.

<---I got pretty good size fish!

Finally I got 4 fishes, Tommy 2, Sho 3 Taka 3 and Brock was 14 !

Anyway we had happy fishing time again.

Next I hope I get a lot of and bigger fish!

Fishing

I went to Lucky Peak for fishing with my friends today.

We tried to get Kokanee salmon with "jig" which was some kind of lure.

And they were prepared by one of my friends, Brock.

We got about 20 fishes for 4 hours.

Usually I try fly fishing, but today I did not ,because my casting is very poor.
But Tommy did, it was very difficult and challenging.

I thought kind of lure fishing is easier than fly fishing when I can choice effectual type of lure.

Today I choose the jig which was recommended by Brock and after that my selecting lure spoon type which color was red, attract with fishes, so I got many.

I was very happy and thanks to Brock for taking us a nice place and teaching us way to do.

After fishing we share all fishes with all friends.

But I and the other friends finished up many Brock's jigs by throwing in river....
